Technology schools are using and technology students use every day (after they leave school) has never been different. A video that discusses technology in schools. It also seem appropriate to link to the Wikipedia description of Change Blindness
As students embrace mobile media and devices, virtual environments, and social networks (and make them part of their daily lives) many school still hold strong to using the teaching tools that were used generations ago.

Great video Rich. Some of the quotes alone make it worth watching once. Thank you for sharing it with us. How did you discover it? Are you associated with some of the great educators in the video? Education seems to slowly be changing, but we have a long ways to go.
Now, to play devil’s advocate, I think it’s not possible for some schools to have students walking around with cell phones. Will school’s be helping subsidize students/families that don’t have them?
How do we moderate how the students are on task? We have to ask ourselves - why are we currently blocking these great devices (ie cellphones, facebook)?
At our upcoming Tech conference in Shanghai - I know someone is talking about how to use mobile phones in the classroom. It’s a brave step in a scary new world.
I also look forward to following you on twitter!
